Setting preferences for new and existing users

ClickView allows each user to set preferences for grade levels, topics, and academic standards, ensuring a tailored browsing experience. Personalizing your settings ensures that recommended content aligns with your teaching or administrative needs.

Preferences for new users

  1. After you sign in for the first time, ClickView prompts you to begin personalization. Start by watching the quick welcome video.

  2. Select the role appropriate to you from the presented options.

  3. Choose the main purpose for which you want to use ClickView.

  4. Pick the grade levels most relevant to you. Options may vary depending on your institution.

  5. Select the academic standard that your school follows.

  6. Customize your content by choosing relevant teaching areas. You may select multiple or use the All subjects option for broader access.

  7. Pick three or more videos that fit your chosen topics. These can be revisited and modified later.

  8. Name your first playlist. Playlists help organize selected videos and can be edited in the future.

Your selections will help ClickView recommend and promote relevant topics and videos to you. You can still browse all available topics and materials.

How to update your preferences

  1. First click on your avatar and then select Settings.

  2. Select Preferences under My account.

  3. Choose the topics most relevant to you or toggle I’m interested in all topics for broader recommendations.

  4. Select the grade levels relevant to your teaching or administrative role. You can choose one or multiple grades, or use I teach all grades for all levels.

  5. Confirm your preferred academic standard from the available options.

Your choices will prioritize content from your selected topics and grade levels. All other materials remain accessible.

Completing and updating your preferences

If you have not completed your preferences, ClickView will display a reminder on the Discover page. Clicking Finish personalizing will guide you through the setup process.
