What’s new in ClickView – new features to make finding videos even easier
We’ve been working to improve how teachers discover videos on ClickView. As always, our goal is to save teachers time when searching for the perfect video for their next lesson.
As the number of videos on ClickView continues to grow we’ve been focussing on effectively highlighting what’s new whilst also making it easy to browse the breadth of available content.
1. Customize your Discover page
Discover is the first page most teachers see when logging into ClickView. From talking to teachers, two key themes emerged:
- The Discover dashboard could feel overwhelming with “too much going on”.
- Teachers loved seeing “what’s new” on the Discover dashboard.
To address this, we’ve introduced a way to tailor your homepage to the subjects you want to see.

Your home page will also highlight trending topics and video recommendations based on what’s happening in the world each week.

We’ve also simplified the home page experience and shone a spotlight on new videos, and topics as well as what is trending on ClickView.

2. “What’s New” for every subject

Each subject now has its own “What’s new” page. This is the perfect place to explore new content for a specific subject.
Here you will find the latest videos and topics for the subject – all organized in one place!

The “What’s New” hubs are perfect for keeping track of recent additions to ClickView and new discovering videos.
You can even browse videos that have historically been popular, amongst teachers, at this time of year!

3. Topic “directories”
We’ve also made it easier to browse topics by subject. Topics have been conveniently organized to help you find the right videos and resources quickly.
Topic directories have been designed with the teaching standards in mind to help you find what you’re looking for.

Each ClickView Topic now shows how many videos and resources are available, giving you a quick snapshot of the breadth of content available.

Keep an eye on these topic “directories” as they’ll be updating weekly and ClickView will even show topics that are “coming soon”!

This is a great place to head for subject-specific teachers, Admins and Librarians wanting to point their teachers in the right direction.
Topic “directories” are available today for all subjects and learning levels!
4. Table of contents
We’ve been trying to add more supporting materials to our videos.
While many teachers know our videos are standards-aligned and come with learning intentions, worksheets, and interactive quizzes, some teachers are still missing out on these valuable resources.
To ensure all teachers can easily discover these features, we’ve added a Table of Contents to each video.

5. Improved navigation
We’ve also heard that some teachers get “lost” and don’t know how to get back to a video. So we’ve added helpful “breadcrumbs” to the play page.

6. Learning intentions
ClickView videos all come with learning intentions to help teachers understand how to incorporate the video into their teaching.
To make this popular feature easier to use teachers can now copy the learning intention to your clipboard to easily paste into an LMS or lesson plan!

7. Support for additional teaching standards
As we’ve expanded our content library we’ve also added support for multiple standards.
Whether you’re working within your specific state framework or the Common Core State Standards you can see how ClickView videos align.

Let us know if you would like support for another teaching standard and we’ll get it added!
What’s Next?
Looking forward, we have some exciting updates on the roadmap. Here’s a sneak peek:
- Search improvements: We’ll be talking to teachers to understand how we can improve search as well as looking at incorporating standards into the search experience.
- Personalized video recommendations: We’re exploring ways to personalize your ClickView experience with tailored recommendations based on the subjects you teach and your areas of interest.
We’re always open to feedback and love to hear what you’d like to see in ClickView.
Thank you for being part of the ClickView community, and we hope you enjoy these new features!
