Museum of Health Care at Kingston
The Museum of Health Care offers guided tours through 10 exhibits featuring the evolution of nursing and health care from the 18th century through the Great War and beyond, an interactive children's gallery, outdoor walking tours, and hands-on and virtual STEAM education programs. Its online collection catalogue of over 30,000 artifacts, and a curated blog, provide virtual access to Canada's rich health care past.
Established in 1991, the Canadian Museum of Health Care is an independent, registered charity committed to preserving and sharing the rich history of health and medicine in Canada. Located in the historic Ann Baillie Building, a 1904 National Historic Site on the grounds of Kingston General Hospital, it houses the country's largest collection of medical artifacts and is the only mission-specific museum of health care in Canada.
