3GNY is an educational non-profit organization founded by grandchildren of Holocaust survivors. As a living link, it preserves the legacies and the lessons of the Holocaust. Its mission is to educate diverse communities about the perils of intolerance and to provide a supportive forum for the descendants of survivors. Its members feel a deep commitment to know and tell their family stories, and to place them within the greater context of the Holocaust. 3GNY also raises awareness about antisemitism, hate, and intolerance, past and present. Founded in 2005 with a group of six, 3GNY's community now exceeds 6,000. It offers programs including museum tours, film screenings, discussion groups, visits with survivors, genealogy workshops and field trips. Its WEDU (We Educate) initiative empowers grandchildren of survivors to share their family's Holocaust experiences with students and community groups.
