With Version 9 of the Australian Curriculum released in 2022, implementation across states and territories has followed a phased approach. ClickView is committed to supporting teachers and students throughout this transition. Below is a quick overview of how each region is approaching the rollout.
In New South Wales, Version 9 of the Australian Curriculum is incorporated into syllabuses through an ‘adopt and adapt’ approach. The updated NSW syllabuses balance new features with familiar elements, including alignment to the V9 Australian Curriculum.

The Victorian Curriculum 2.0 builds on and is informed by Version 9 of the Australian Curriculum, but is tailored to the needs of Victorian schools. Schools across Victoria are implementing this new curriculum and will continue to do so until 2027.

The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) began a staged rollout of Version 9 in 2024, with full implementation expected by 2027.

South Australia is developing its own version of V9, called the South Australian Curriculum. Implementation is underway, with the first subjects already released and full implementation expected by 2027.

Following the endorsement of Version 9 of the Australian Curriculum by Education Ministers in April 2022, WA is determining how V9 will be adapted and/or adopted into the state curriculum. Northern Territory schools are rolling out Version 9 of the Australian Curriculum in stages. English, Mathematics, and Health and Physical Education will be implemented by 2025. Technologies, Humanities and Social Sciences, Languages and The Arts will follow by 2026. Teachers are expected to begin incorporating the updated content into their planning and teaching.

The ACT developed a cross-sector implementation plan for Version 9 of the Australian Curriculum, with rollout occurring throughout 2024.
