Kia ora, and welcome to the latest version of ClickView

Published on 2 min read

At ClickView, we’re proud to support schools across New Zealand and excited to share the latest version of ClickView, built to make video learning engaging and accessible.

Many of you will remember when ClickView lived on a server in the library. Today, it is a fully online platform where teachers can share curriculum-aligned videos through integrations like Google Classroom, and students can log in anytime to watch, rewatch, and explore at their own pace.

Here’s what’s new:

1. Analytics at a glance

NZ-Upgrade-Blog-Analytics

ClickView’s refreshed Analytics view now provides a clear snapshot of student engagement. Designed to give teachers simple, actionable insights, this helps you:

  • Track video engagement: See total views, top-watched videos, popular topics, and common search terms to understand what students are connecting with.
  • View login activity: Monitor how often students are logging in so you can measure the reach and effectiveness of the content you share.
  • Identify popular videos: Spot which resources spark the most interest and build lessons around what truly engages your students.

2. Enhanced video player

Our updated video player supports active learning in every classroom.

  • Variable playback speed to match the pace of your teaching or your students’ learning.
  • Captions and accessibility options with a smartboard-friendly design that makes it easy to emphasise key points during lessons.
  • Quick clips so you can highlight the exact moments that matter most to your class.

3. Simplified topic ‘directories’

Content discovery

Finding the right video should be quick and stress-free. With the latest topic directories, you can browse by subject area and instantly see how many videos are available before you start watching. Whether you are preparing a lesson or assigning homework, finding the perfect video has never been simpler.

4. Student feeds for sharing

Students can log in to ClickView with their own accounts. When you share a video, interactive quiz, or resource, it appears directly on their personal dashboard the moment they log in. This means less time chasing links and more time engaging with the content, whether it is through Learning Management Systems like Google Classroom or ClickView itself.

5. Favourites at your fingertips

Favourites at your fingertips

Bookmark and organise your go-to resources with one click. All your favourite videos, clips, and interactives are saved in one place, making it easier to prepare for lessons and quickly access the materials you rely on most.
