Every student has a story to tell. The question is whether they have the tools and confidence to tell it. Capture the Action believes they do and now their content is available right here on ClickView.
Capture the Action is a film and media arts education program loved by primary and middle school teachers for making creative learning genuinely accessible. Through engaging instructional videos, students learn filmmaking from the ground up, scriptwriting, cinematography, sound design, editing, and more, while developing the kind of creative, collaborative and communication skills that stay with them long after the lesson ends.
What makes it a great fit for the classroom is how straightforward it is to use. No apps, no software, no technical headaches. Just great content that works on any device and gives every student the opportunity to contribute through their individual strengths, whether that’s directing, acting, editing, writing, design or even event management.
Would you like your students to become engaged, critical viewers and confident creators of screen content? With the right tools and guidance, students can create films with integrity while developing collaboration, communication and creative thinking skills.
Capture the Action gives every student the opportunity to contribute through their individual strengths and interests, whether that’s filmmaking, acting, editing, photography, design, podcasting, writing or event management. Through filmmaking, students become more discerning consumers of media, better understanding storytelling, production techniques and content integrity, while gaining confidence through creative self-expression.
Imagine your school hosting a red-carpet film premiere, with students creating and showcasing their own films, designing posters and programs, interviewing guests, documenting school events, and celebrating each other’s achievements. With Capture the Action on ClickView, that’s not as far-fetched as it sounds.
Capture the Action was founded by Jayne Kelly and Chloe Gardner, an educator and an industry professional who between them bring decades of experience in filmmaking and education.
Jayne has been teaching filmmaking and media studies since 1985 and has spent her career making screen education accessible for teachers who want to bring creativity into the classroom but aren’t sure where to start. Chloe brings deep industry experience as a producer across feature films, documentaries and television, as well as founding Kids Camera Action in 2010 and the Adelaide International Youth Film Festival in 2012. Together they built something that reflects both worlds, content that is educationally rigorous and genuinely connected to how the screen industry actually works.

We started Capture the Action because we believe every student should have access to high-quality, relevant media arts education, regardless of their background or location. Film and media arts give students a way to express themselves, develop real-world skills, and grow in confidence. By providing accessible resources, practical learning opportunities, and industry knowledge, we aim to help students and teachers engage with creative storytelling in meaningful and achievable ways.

We’re excited to bring Capture the Action to ClickView, giving teachers and students access to their video content in a safe, curriculum-aligned, classroom-ready environment.
Whether you’re a primary school teacher looking to bring creative media arts into your classroom, or a student ready to discover your inner filmmaker, the Capture the Action channel on ClickView is the place to start.
