ClickView acquires Makematic to expand its educational video production studio
We’re excited to share that ClickView has acquired the production business of Makematic, a globally respected educational video studio known for its high-quality, award-winning videos created in partnership with leading educational and cultural institutions.
This acquisition brings 40 talented team members from Makematic into ClickView. Together, we’re significantly expanding our production capability and enabling the creation of high-quality, standards-aligned videos for schools.
As video plays an increasingly important role in classrooms, it becomes essential that it evolves alongside changing standards and continues to support effective teaching. Makematic’s strong track record in producing diverse, high-impact videos expands our pedagogical expertise and strengthens our ability to meet this growing demand.
As Edward Filetti, CEO of ClickView, says:
“Schools are relying on video more than ever, and they expect it to be high-quality, standards-aligned, and designed for real classroom use. Bringing Makematic into ClickView means we can more than triple our production output while maintaining the standards schools know and trust.“

Why Makematic
Makematic brings deep expertise in producing high-quality educational videos, with a focus on history, civics, and science. All videos are designed for the classroom and developed in close collaboration with museums, universities, and foundations to prioritise quality and educational impact. Makematic has worked with many leading organisations, including Colonial Williamsburg, the National Constitution Center, Crayola, and the White House Historical Society.
With Makematic joining ClickView, we’ll be able to:
- Deliver more high-quality standards-aligned videos
- Respond quickly to changing state standards and emerging topics
- Build stronger partnerships with trusted educational and cultural institutions worldwide
In Mark Nagurski’s own words:
“Makematic has always focused on producing high-quality educational videos in close partnership with educators and institutions. From our first conversations with ClickView, it was clear we shared the same priorities around quality, credibility, and classroom use. Joining ClickView allows that work to reach more classrooms globally and build on the foundation we’ve established.”
— Mark Nagurski, Co-Founder and CEO, Makematic
