Ocean Wise
Ocean Wise's vision is a world in which oceans are healthy and flourishing. Their mission is to inspire the global community to become Ocean Wise by increasing its understanding, wonder and appreciation for our oceans.
Ocean Wise is a global conservation organization headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. Its mission is to build a global community that takes meaningful action to protect and restore our ocean, with a vision of a world in which the ocean is healthy and thriving. Through research, education, innovation, engagement, and collaboration, Ocean Wise turns knowledge of the ocean into practical action, focusing on climate change, ocean pollution and plastics, overfishing, and threats to whale health. Established as a conservation-first charity in 2017 and independent since 2020, it traces its roots to ocean programs launched with the Vancouver Aquarium, including shoreline cleanups, sustainable seafood, and whale sightings work.
