Journalistic Learning Initiative
Journalistic Learning infuses journalistic strategies into English Language Arts courses through a project-based approach that teaches research skills, critical thinking, writing, collaboration, and oral communication. By engaging in self-directed learning, students of all socioeconomic backgrounds discover their voice and improve academic outcomes, and to date its programs have benefited nearly 15,000 students nationwide.
The Journalistic Learning Initiative (JLI) is a 501(c)(3) education nonprofit that empowers students to discover their voice, improve academic outcomes, and engage in self-directed learning through project-based storytelling, supporting teacher development and pioneering the Journalistic Learning approach.
