Getting Better Foundation
The Getting Better Foundation promotes media literacy and critical thinking by helping learners understand how news, data, and digital media shape perceptions of the world. Explore documentary content and educational resources that build skills in evaluating information, recognising bias, and interpreting evidence, supporting informed discussion, wellbeing, and trust in an increasingly complex media landscape.
Getting Better Foundation is a media literacy non-profit on a mission to build trust through truth, helping educators, students, parents and governments navigate misinformation and think critically about the media they consume. Founded in 2015 by Joe Phelps, the organisation is behind Trust Me, an award-winning documentary on the causes of media illiteracy and how to fix it, screened at festivals, embassies, schools and universities worldwide. Backed by an advisory board of scientists, psychologists and journalists, Getting Better Foundation champions a hopeful message: that people are growing more resilient, empathetic and kind.
