What’s New in July 2026: Classroom Videos and Resources

July’s new content for schools in Australia and New Zealand has something to suit every classroom. From taking primary learners on a colourful journey around the world with Beardy Bodo to helping secondary students uncover Earth’s history through our new Fossils topic, there’s plenty to explore across the platform this July!

Animotion Media

Animotion Media’s popular series The Fixies (Australia)(New Zealand) have had a real boost this month, with the addition of three new seasons to ClickView. ClickView is also now the home to Animotion Media’s edutainment animated series Pincode (Australia)(New Zealand), where Captain Pin and his crews introduce students to nanotechnology, AI and bioengineering.

Smile and Learn

Understanding Emotions (Australia)(New Zealand), a new series from Smile and Learn, guides younger learners through their emotions, the effects that they can have, and how to self-regulate and express their feelings appropriately.

Hiveclass

Hiveclass produces wonderful videos that combine physical literacy, mental resilience and provide educators with important support. Their series Fitness: Balance and Jumps (Australia)(New Zealand) and Fitness: Flexibility (Australia)(New Zealand) provide important starting points for anyone who wants to improve their fitness.

Movies + TV Highlights 

July welcomed a slate of vibrant and educational new series for primary learners. Aligned to geography, culture and history skills and knowledge, take your students on a colourful journey around the world and learn travel tips along the way with ‘Beardy Bodo’ (Australia) (New Zealand). Primary learners will also learn the value of imagination, play, and managing emotions with the Saurs family in ‘DinoCity’ (Australia) (New Zealand).

For Australian secondary learners, we recommend the moving documentary ‘When the River Rose’. A powerful case study examining the impact of natural disasters in Australian communities, the film explores the social and economic devastation in the aftermath of the 2022 Lismore floods.

Relive the emotion from the 2026 FIFA World Cup with the SBS documentary ‘Wogball: Australia’s Beautiful Game’. Supported with a SBS Learn resource and clips, the film delves into the story of how soccer became integrated, and now celebrated, in Australian sporting culture.

Curation and Special Events 

This month’s primary Topic releases combine hands-on learning in music and science with practical research skills to support students’ growing independence. Our new secondary Topics encourage students to investigate Earth’s history through fossils, explore Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art and develop a respectful understanding of gender and sexuality.
