ClickView earns the ISTE Seal of Alignment

Published on 5 min read

I’m excited to share that ClickView has earned the ISTE Seal of Alignment, an independent certification from the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) that recognises edtech products meeting the highest global standards for teaching and learning.

For schools navigating an increasingly complex education technology landscape, independent validation matters. ClickView has earned the ISTE Seal of Alignment, an internationally recognised certification awarded by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) to products that meet the highest standards for teaching and learning.

This recognition reflects not only the work of our team, but also the trust of the teachers, schools and content partners who have supported ClickView over the years. Many of our customers joined us long before we had recognitions like the ISTE Seal, and their feedback and partnership have played a critical role in shaping ClickView.

To earn the ISTE Seal, ClickView went through a rigorous evaluation by a panel of education and technology experts. The evaluation team assessed everything from usability and learning design to inclusivity and assessment. The result? ClickView was recognised for its strong alignment with the ISTE Standards and its research-backed approach to helping teachers use video effectively in the classroom. For us, this is more than a badge. It’s independent validation that the work we’re doing is making a real difference for schools.

“At ClickView, we focus on making high-quality, curriculum-aligned video easy for teachers to use effectively in the classroom. Receiving the ISTE Seal is an important milestone and reflects the strength of the platform and the work we’ve done to continue improving how video supports teaching and learning in practice.”
Edward Filetti, CEO, ClickView

Why this matters

The ISTE Seal of Alignment is one of the most respected certifications in education technology. It’s not awarded by the company that built the product. It’s awarded by independent, third-party experts after a thorough review.

The ISTE Seal framework evaluates products across five dimensions. Reviewers found that ClickView meets all critical elements and excels in each one.

User interface and agency

The review highlighted ClickView’s user-friendly interface as a standout strength. Navigation is always visible, search returns accurate results with smart filtering, and teachers have the flexibility to reorganise/reorganize their videos and customise/customize the Discover page. Interactive quizzes give students immediate feedback, helping them track their own understanding in real time. The goal is simple: less time navigating, more time teaching.

“The navigation menu is consistently visible, with clear access to major product areas, making it easy for educators to locate the features they need.“

Learning design

Videos are broken into age-appropriate learning levels with real-world examples and clear ties to learning objectives. Interactive quizzes check understanding at regular intervals before students move on. Inquiry-based activities build knowledge through questioning and exploration rather than passive viewing. Videos and interactives are modular, so teachers assign them to specific classes or groups based on what their students need.

“Activities offer opportunities for inquiry-based learning, helping students build knowledge through questioning and exploration rather than passive consumption.“

Digital pedagogy

ClickView extends learning well beyond video. Teacher resources guide students through structured design processes to solve real-world problems. Learning episodes include computational thinking activities that help students break down problems into smaller parts. The videos also support teachers in leading discussions on responsible online behaviour, digital identity, intellectual property, and data privacy.

“Resources support teacher-facilitated discussions about responsible online conduct, privacy protection, and ethical decision-making in digital spaces.”

Inclusivity

ISTE’s reviewers praised ClickView’s commitment to representation and accessibility. Videos show individuals from diverse backgrounds in meaningful, stereotype-free contexts. Activities encourage students to consider different perspectives, prompting self-reflection on similarities and differences. Features like closed captioning with language and text size options, speed controls, and high-contrast design support learners with different needs and abilities.

“Representation is authentic and avoids stereotypes, showing individuals from varied backgrounds in meaningful contexts“

Assessment and data

Six question formats within videos act as formative assessments, giving students multiple ways to show what they know. Feedback and scoring clearly identify strengths and areas for improvement. The analytics dashboard provides real-time insights into engagement and performance at individual and group levels, with subgroup filtering to support targeted teaching decisions.

“Interactive questions embedded within videos function as formative assessments, checking understanding during the learning process.”

What this means for schools

For teachers, the ISTE Seal means ClickView has been independently evaluated and meets the highest standards in learning design, user experience, and accessibility.

For school leaders, it makes procurement decisions simpler. It’s third-party evidence that ClickView aligns with globally recognised standards and supports effective teaching with technology.

For students, it means the videos and activities they’re using every day were built with them in mind, designed to be engaging, inclusive, and accessible.

“ClickView offers educators a comprehensive video learning platform that combines engaging, standards-aligned content with embedded assessment and actionable analytics.”

To every teacher who has brought ClickView into your classroom, thank you. Your trust, feedback, and dedication to your students continue to shape ClickView and inspire our work.

On a personal note, having been at ClickView since the early days and now serving as Chief Product Officer makes this recognition particularly meaningful to me. I’ve seen first-hand the care, effort and persistence our team puts into building ClickView for educators. We’ve always believed in the impact ClickView can have for teachers and students, but having that work recognised through independent validation like the ISTE Seal is incredibly rewarding for the whole team.
