Research & user feedback

Manual setup takes too long

We heard from teachers how they get bogged down with setting up their students manually or when they have to upload spreadsheets. This creates errors and eats into time that can be better spent elsewhere.

Teachers get stuck when rosters aren’t right
One of the biggest frustrations we heard from teachers is when students are missing from a class. This stalls the lesson and creates significant disruptions to teaching. Students being enrolled in the wrong classes might feel like a small issue but, in practice, it’s can be a deal-breaker.

Slow updates create friction
It’s common for students to move between classes. When this happens, teachers can be left waiting for their IT Administrators to manually correct this.

What’s changed?

When we started building rostering for ClickView, we didn’t want to simply check a box. Our goal was to provide granular control to district administrators while focusing on making it a seamless experience for teachers and students to access ClickView.

District administrators now have access to:

• Automated syncing: Staff, students, classrooms, and enrollments flow directly from your rostering provider into ClickView.
• Flexible sync options: Schedule updates daily or weekly, or refresh rosters anytime. Each sync updates the full roster and runs faster after the first one.
• Detailed logging: See what logins are added, deleted, skipped, or errored. Export .csvs of these logs any time and get email notifications when a manual sync is triggered.
• Built-in security: All data is handled with encryption and permissions to protect teacher and student information.
• Seamless rostering at a district level: Manage rostering centrally across multiple schools while still giving local admins oversight.

The result is simple: administrators save time, teachers walk into class knowing their rosters are ready, and students can learn without interruption.
