Math with Mr. J Channel: making math less scary for students around the world
What makes someone good at math? For a long time, the answer felt like a personality trait – something you either had or you didn’t. Math with Mr. J has spent the last decade quietly dismantling that idea, one step-by-step video at a time.
Meet Adam
Adam, better known to millions of students as Mr. J, is a former classroom teacher who one day searched YouTube for math instruction videos, watched a few, and thought: “I can do this.”
What followed was not a glamorous startup story. A struggling laptop that could barely boot up. A borrowed microphone. A small graphic tablet that he still uses today. And a plan.
Over 1,000 videos later, Math with Mr. J has become one of the most trusted math education channels in the world, reaching learners from India to Jamaica to the Philippines and beyond. The goal has never changed: make math easier to understand, less intimidating, and more accessible for everyone.
I started my channel to help make math easier to understand and less intimidating for people. It’s so common to hear people say that they ‘can’t do math’ or that they’re ‘bad at math,’ but I truly believe everyone can succeed.

Reaching learners in every corner of the world
Since then, the channel has grown into something far beyond what Adam imagined when he sat down at that struggling laptop. Millions of learners. Hundreds of thousands of teachers. Students of all ages, from all over the world, finally feeling confident in a subject that once felt out of reach.
The most rewarding part of running Math with Mr. J has been hearing from people of all ages from all over the world — from India, to Jamaica, to the Philippines, and countless other countries. It’s incredibly humbling to know that my videos are helping millions of learners across the globe. I never imagined the reach the channel would have when I first started and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to teach math to millions. It has truly been an awesome ride and I’m excited to continue helping build confidence and success in math for years to come.

Math with Mr. J on ClickView
As YouTube faces growing restrictions in schools and educational institutions, we know that access to trusted math content shouldn’t be a barrier for students and teachers who rely on it. That’s why we’re delighted to bring Math with Mr. J to ClickView – giving teachers and students a way to access the videos they already know and love in a safe, ad-free, classroom-ready environment.
Whether you’re a student working through fractions for the first time or a teacher looking for a clear, curriculum-aligned explanation to support a lesson, the Math with Mr. J channel on ClickView is well worth exploring.
