Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum
At the Nature Museum, research is conducted and disseminated through hypothesis formulation and evidence-based testing, curating and making accessible the museum's extensive collections, and applying findings to the conservation and restoration of species and ecosystems through exhibits, education, and outreach. For over 167 years, the Museum has connected people of all ages to nature and science through immersive exhibits, family events, conservation research, and in-depth education programs.
The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum of the Chicago Academy of Sciences strives to create a positive relationship between people and nature, serving as the urban gateway to nature and science. Founded in 1857, the Chicago Academy of Sciences is one of America's oldest scientific institutions.
