Mark spent 9 years as a middle school teacher before transitioning to the educational technology field. He was formerly the US Content Lead for ClickView, and has continued with the organization as a content and production consultant, contributing to curated topic pages, educator articles, and the production of new videos.
Mark Brown is a former middle school educator of 9 years. He taught 6th grade science, in addition to serving as an Intervention & Enrichment Coordinator for 6th through 8th grade math and ELA. He taught highly diverse populations of students in the Chicago suburbs and served on the curriculum committee for many years, where he created curriculum and assessments that aligned to the state learning standards.
As an educator, Mark ensured that all students in his classes received a high-quality curriculum and equitable instruction. A majority of his students were multilingual learners and Mark utilized best practices for the instruction of multilingual students to boost their academic and social-emotional success. He valued making strong connections with students and their families, in addition to making real-life connections to the curriculum, to ensure their experience in the public school system was positive.
Having previously served as the US Curation Lead for ClickView, Mark helped lead new initiatives such as curated topic pages and learning standards alignment for videos. He worked closely with both the US customer-facing team and the curation team across multiple regions to ensure that the educator’s perspective was considered in all initiatives and operations in the region. Mark has continued with ClickView as a Content & Production Consultant, in addition to his full-time career in the tourism industry.
