Abbie qualified as a secondary school English teacher in 2017 through the Schools Direct course, a one-year employment-based route into initial teacher training. She quickly became the head of Media Studies, which included building positive relationships with teachers, parents and students and developing schemes of work, knowledge organisers and providing feedback.

Abbie Cattano is a former secondary school teacher of 4 and a half years, who taught Media Studies, English Literature and Language, PSHE and Citizenship (for KS3, GCSE and A-Level) and provided pastoral care as a form tutor. She then became the Head of Media Studies, in which she redesigned the curriculum to match national exam board criteria, reviewed teaching and learning in the department and created assessments and mark schemes for trial exams.
Abbie now works as the UK Curation Lead at ClickView, which involves regionalising topics, working with consultants, curating videos, and aligning content to UK, US, and Australian standards.
