Kenn Nesbitt is an American children's poet, born February 20, 1962, in Berkeley, California, and raised in Fresno and San Diego. He wrote his first children's poem in 1994 and published his first collection, My Foot Fell Asleep, in 1998, going on to publish with Meadowbrook Press, Scholastic, Chronicle Books and Sourcebooks Jabberwocky. He served as Children's Poet Laureate of the Poetry Foundation from 2013 to 2015 and now lives in Spokane, Washington.
