National Museum of the Army
As the Army's national landmark, the National Army Museum honors American Soldiers by telling the Army's story across more than 245 years of history - through wartime and peacetime, humanitarian missions, and Army-driven innovation.
The National Museum of the United States Army, at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, is America's Army Museum. It proudly tells the comprehensive story of America's oldest military service through the eyes and voices of Soldiers. The Museum's mission is to provide the only comprehensive portrayal of Army history and traditions through the eyes of the American Soldier. By preserving, interpreting, and exhibiting invaluable artifacts, it creates learning opportunities for all visitors and bonds the American people to their oldest military service. Galleries such as Fighting for the Nation and Army & Society, together with the Experiential Learning Center and Fort Discover, help visitors discover how the nation has benefited from the innovation and advancement of its Army.
