Liberty Hall Museum
Liberty Hall has hosted educational programs, concerts, community events, civic ceremonies and holiday celebrations since welcoming the public in 2000. Its grounds include an elegant English parterre garden and maze, alongside collections of antique furniture and decorative artifacts collected by seven generations of the Livingston and Kean families who called Liberty Hall home.
Liberty Hall stands at the center of the American Revolution and academic excellence. Inhabited by William Livingston, New Jersey's first elected governor and a signer of the United States Constitution, the 14-room Georgian-style home evolved over time into a 50-room Victorian mansion. At Liberty Hall, the goal is to deepen visitors' understanding of history and nature through the lens of the people who lived and worked there across its over 250-year history, engaging the broader community with programming that inspires curiosity about how the world has changed over time.
